Man & Wife

Truth-Seeking Saints of Jesus,

The HUSBAND/WIFE RELATIONSHIP

1 Corinthians 14:34 - Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience as also saith the law.

1 Corinthians 14:35 - And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.

Genesis 3:16 - Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

Praise King Jesus,

I would like to begin this weekly bread by teaching the doctrine of God concerning wives submission to their husbands. What does the Apostle mean in 1 Corinthians 14 when he writes under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit '...as also saith the law?'

Where does the law say that women are to be in silence in the churches? Nowhere.

However, Paul was not saying that women keeping silence and not being permitted to speak was in the law. This is obvious because it is not in the law anywhere, and Paul being a Pharisee as touching the law, would have obviously known this. Let us not insult Paul's intelligence here.

What was Paul getting at when he says '...as also saith the law?' Well, what Paul did say was in the law, was that the woman is commanded to be under obedience. Read the text very carefully.

1 Corinthians 14:34 - Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience as also saith the law.

Notice the second clause, '...but they are commanded to be under obedience.' THEN Paul says, '...as also saith the law.'

Where does the law command that women be under obedience?

Genesis 3:16 - Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

There is where the law says that the woman is to be under obedience.

Women are to be in subjection to their own husbands. The holy apostle gives us a clearer understanding below.

Ephesians 5:22 - Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.

This submission to the husband is to be 'as' the wife's submission to the Lord. You mean to tell me that a wife must submit to her husband like she submits to Jesus? I did not say it, the Bible did.

Therein is a powerful revelation. Yes it is a great mystery. Let us allow the holy apostle to teach us further in this mighty Truth.

EPHESIANS 5

23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he (Christ) is the saviour of the body.

24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.

30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.

31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.

32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.

33 Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.

The husband has authority over the wife. This authority is Spiritual authority. He is her HEAD just as Christ is the HEAD of the Church. He is to be the source of her Spiritual knowledge just as Christ is the source of the Church's Spiritual knowledge. He is her Spiritual leader just as Christ is the Church's Spiritual leader.

This is why Paul stated this...

Let them ask their husbands at home. Yes the Bible said it. Cultural relevance philosophy cannot do away with it in God's eyes, though this philosophy has many brothers and sisters spoiled and deceived (Colossians 2:8), because Paul said that this was the COMMANDMENT OF THE LORD.

1 Corinthians 14:37 - If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord.

So do you acknowledge that 1 Corinthians 14:34 and 35 are the commandments of the Lord? Do you see this Scripture applied in your Apostolic Church? Do you see the wives under subjection to their husbands, as they are under subjection to Christ? Do you observe wives asking their husbands at home about Spiritual matters?

CRP (CULTURAL REVELANCE PHILOSOPHY)

For those of you who are deceived by the 'Cultural Relevance Philosophy,' does the Church at Corinth have a commandment of the Lord that all other Churches don't have to follow? You see, the 'Cultural Relevance Philosophy' (CRP) teaches that some Scriptures applied to certain Churches at certain times because of certain situations in their respective cultures, and do not apply to today's Churches. This deadly attitude has led to many simply thinking that they have the right to 'ignore' the application of certain Scriptures which their flesh does not like.

Most who use this are secular and in denominational Christianity, and are not Apostolic. However, more and more Apostolics have adopted this deadly philosophy which is what the Apostle Paul warned us about when he said that we must beware lest we be spoiled by philosophy.

Colossians 2:8 - Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

The Word of God is the Word of God. The Commandments of the Lord are the Commandments of the Lord. How Apostolic are you? Are you Apostolic all the way or do you have your picks and chooses concerning which Scriptures in the Apostolic Doctrine apply to today?

Are you deceived by CRP?

CRP has been used by Women's Lib to dismiss the Scripture and have people deceived like they are really saved and following the Word when they are really not. Have any of you read the writings of Susan B. Anthony concerning her thoughts about Bible Scriptures like 1 Corinthians 14:34-35, Ephesians 5, and 1 Timothy 2:12-15? I wonder how many of you have read her utter blasphemy against the Word of God and her hatred of the Apostle Paul!

The husband/wife relationship Scriptures do apply to today, and CRP is a lie from the mouth of the Serpent sent out into the Church world to deceive well meaning brothers and sisters that it is okay to not apply certain Scriptures to the Church today that the Apostles wrote. Nothing but a devil would say that certain principles in the Apostolic Doctrine were for the Church yesterday and not for the Church today! Only a devil would try to get you to think that you are saved though you do not adhere to certain Scriptures because of your emotional attachment to CRP!

WOMEN PASTORS AND MINISTERS

Yes Susan B. Anthony had her thoughts about this as well. This 'woman can do whatever a man can do' has some truly practical social and political applications, but when they tried to bring this into the Church it revealed rebellion and the very power of the devil when it attacked the Apostolic Doctrine and specifically the teachings of the Apostle Paul.

Let us say for the sake of example that a particular husband is not a minister of the Gospel but is in Church, and his wife is a minister in the Church or the pastor of the Church.

How can a woman minister and pastor be the Spiritual leader of her husband, when the Apostolic Doctrine teaches against this everywhere? Can the Church be Christ's Spiritual leader? Of course not, for such would be rebellion against the Word of God. Therefore, a wife cannot be her husband's Spiritual leader. She cannot have Spiritual authority over him, because he is her head!

What if she is more knowledgable in the Word than he is? Well let me first say that scenario arguments and questions all have answers if you know what the Truth is and what the Bible says. What the Bible says is without exception, and this is the basis of our being Apostolic on the topics of the Godhead and Salvation in the first place. Read the Word of God here.

1 PETER 3

1 Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives;

2 While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear.

Even is your husband is an unbeliever, much less a believer who knows the Word less than you do, you STILL have to maintain your submission to him and you still have to 'without the word' help him grow in the Spirit by your chaste behavior.

Let your chaste behavior be an 'example testimony' to your husband, that if he is not as knowledgable as you are in the Word, that he will be inspired to grow so that he can teach you something! Let your chaste behavior be an 'example testimony' to your husband, that even if he is not saved, that he will be inspired to get saved so that he can fulfill his role and office of authority!

God has assigned roles to men and women in the Church. God has used the most powerful manifestation of human intimacy, as ancient as the first man and woman, to illustrate His love for the Church and the Church's submission to Him.

Let all of the preachers who have lied to God's people for the last few decades stop reaching CRP and stop perverting the Word of God, and let them learn, love, and teach the WHOLE Apostolic Doctrine as found on the pages of the New Covenant Holy Scriptures, in the Name of Jesus!

HUSBAND'S LOVE

This relationship of husbands/wives is balanced by the love of the husband towards the wife. This love prevents him from abusing his authority. His submission to Christ and his acceptance of his leadership role in the Church and in the home, prevents him from abusing his authority. A Godly man has no problem loving his wife, yes, even as Christ loves the Church. A Godly man has no problem GIVING HIMSELF for his wife, as Christ gave Himself for the Church.

EPHESIANS 5

25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,

27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. 28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.

29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:

30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.

31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.

32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.

33 Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.

Don't forget this one!

1 Peter 3:7 - Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.

Husbands, you are called to love. Agape your wives. Remember what 1 Corinthians 13 says about Agape. Read it slow and read it carefully, and then become Agape.

Husbands, you are called to honor your wives, as being the weaker vessels. Honor them.

CONCLUSION

In conclusion, what I have given you is the very Apostolic Doctrine in the Word of God. Many of you have never seen these Scriptures explained in this manner, because even your Apostolic leadership is deceived by CRP in some way, shape, form, or fashion.

Maybe Women's Lib has infiltrated your mind to the degree that you are actually in rebellion against the Word of God, yet deceived to think that you are okay in the eyes of the God of heaven.

I want to help you. I want to answer your questions. I want the opportunity to defend against your challenges. I want you to give me the chance to TOTALLY prove to your mind, what is that perfect and right will of God on this issue.

The Bible says prove all things in 1 Thessalonians 5:21, and to hold fast to that which is good.

1 Thessalonians 5:21 - Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.

Many single Sisters have submission issues. They have a serious problem with the idea of submitting to a man and letting a man lead them. Yes it is true that marriage is a choice, but single sisters with submission issues need to examine themselves and the thoughts of their hearts to see if they themselves are really submitted to God totally.

If you are submitted to God totally, then the thought of the idea of submitting yourself under the authority of a Godly man should not be a problem in and of itself, even if you choose not to get married. Sure you may choose not to marry, but the reason WHY is what you need to evaluate.

If your reason WHY is the refusal to submit to the God given authority of a Godly man, then you need to examine yourself to see if you have totally submitted to God.

I am willing to guarantee that any single sister who turns her nose up at the idea of submitting to the authority of a Godly man, has not herself fully submitted to God, regardless of whether or not she decides to marry.

Single brothers also have problems accepting their leadership roles, and stepping up to the plate, so to speak. Many of you are intimidated at the responsibility of providing for a family and protecting your wife and children from the devil and the world's influence.

You too have a problem in your submission to Christ if you are not willing to step up into your role in the Church and home. Many sisters feel like they 'have to do it,' because we are not 'doing it.'

Don't cause them to easily be deceived into sinning against the Word of God, just because we are afraid to step up into the God given role and authority of leadership.

I, for one speaking for myelf, will stand with the Apostle Paul. I will be Apostolic and will submit myself to Christ and the teachings of His Apostles, ALL OF THEM. I am not afraid to take my place in God's house and in my own house when that time comes.

Lead by example, and not by Word only, and brothers you would be surprised how easy the sisters find it to submit to our God given authority.

Let us totally embrace the Apostolic teaching and be as Apostolic as we claim, and let us cast out the lies of the Serpent from our minds, like the 'Cultural Relevance Philosophy' (CRP)
